Rotary E-Club of the Carolinas is a group of fantastic Rotarians. We are a service-driven club that is focused on our members. We are People of Action. Our club is one of many in Rotary District 7750 in South Carolina, USA. Our current members have primary residences in South Carolina, but they may log in from all over the world. 

In 2023-24, we were a 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club with nearly 40% of our members having earned Major Donor status. We completed hundreds of service hours, including 9 club-organized remote and group service projects and 3 matching grant projects.

Our Mission - Rotary E-Club of the Carolinas is full of engaged, enthusiastic, service-driven Rotarians with a spirit of fun and fellowship who enjoy working together as we seek opportunities to serve our local and global communities, grow Rotary membership in our club and the Rotary community, and lead the way in building effective Rotary experiences.

What is Rotary?

Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. In 2025, Rotary will celebrate 120 years since our founding in Chicago, Illinois USA. Rotary and Rotary clubs are designed to be non-political and non-religious organizations.  What are E-Clubs?

Rotary e-clubs are not "virtual" Rotary clubs. We are a Rotary club that gives, acts, meets, and serves. We simply use the Internet and Zoom platform as a tool for our meetings. We serve as real-world, active Rotarians. All Rotary e-club is part of the real world of Rotary International.

 A 2010 Rotary International Council on Legislation enactment recognized Rotary e-clubs as part of Rotary International, following a six-year pilot project. By June 2013, there were 111 e-clubs worldwide and the number is growing every year. As of July 2024, there are more than 700 Rotary clubs that meet online or in a hybrid format.

Why E-Clubs?

Rotary e-clubs are fundamentally the same as any other Rotary club: club members do service projects individually or as group, support The Rotary Foundation, socialize and network. For business, professional, community leaders, and other prospective Rotarians who may be unable to attend a weekly meeting in person, the E-club offers the flexibility to meet online. E-Clubs also serve a function for Rotarians in terra clubs (in person clubs).
